Starving Games

Our story begins in a society so different from ours. There are 12 districts distinguishing social classes 1 being the most fat and wealthy and 12 being the district with the most starving people. Catnip and her younger sister Wim Rose wait as they find out if their destiny is to compete in a food eating challenge while participating in physical challenges. Catnip assures Wim Rose that she will not be chosen because she can’t even finish a bag of Doritos. But when Wim Rose’s name is called Catnip fulfills her duty as the big sister and volunteers as tribute.
Catnip must say goodbye to her friends and family, her friend Dale gives her a word of advice “just out eat everyone and you will be our hero”! Catnip puts on a confident face but she knows that this challenge is mentally and physically challenging, and most people puke and pass out in the first few hours! People from other districts seek out the competition, some think catnip will win because she is a twig and can afford to eat a lot, while people in 1st district are plump and have plenty of experience eating fatty foods. But others disagree; as training begins it looks as if Catnip is a threat as she downs a whole pepperoni pizza while shooting 12 arrows at a target. The day of the competition arrives and Catnip plans to go for the food with the most calories to give her the most points. Once you have the most points they will give you tools like poison to put in the other tributes food. Catnip’s mouth starts to water as she stands on the podium staring all her tributes down. The last thing she hears as she takes a leap of faith “May the carbs be every in your flavor”!
